The Opportunity:

Our clients pay with bank platform leads the revolution in Open Banking powered account-to-account payment services.
Their mission is to make payments fast, secure and fair for everyone, everywhere. They are an energetic, highly motivated, experienced and collaborative group, and that's exactly the kind of person they want to hire into their growing team in London. Someone who enjoys business development, establishing relationships and will help to drive revenue growth.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of the merchant acquisition drive, responsible for identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing leads through the sales pipeline. You will work closely with the commercial and wider revenue team to ensure that our company’s goals are met.

This is an exciting and crucial role for the right candidate and for someone who enjoys winning, building relationships and working closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders in order to provide and deliver a first class service to our customers and partners. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record of success in their early sales career.

What you’ll do:

  • Understand the businesses products and services and be able to articulate its functions, benefits and value proposition.
  • Create a systematic, process-driven approach to identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities for the company.
  • Work closely with marketing on account list building, qualification, scoring, and prioritisation.
  • Evaluate ICP fit and revenue potential Contact potential customers, set appointments and follow up on leads.
  • Track progress towards meeting sales goals Collaborate with the commercial and revenue team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets.
  • Use Hubspot (CRM) to manage leads and sales activities.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and results to management, stay up-to-date on market trends, competition and industry developments.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as Partnerships, Marketing, Customer Success, Integrations and others to ensure a collaborative working environment and create the pillars for commercial success.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales Payments Industry experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Prior experience in a similar business development / sales role and a strong track record of success in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Time management and organisational skills Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g. Hubspot or similar).
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
