The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), Employee Relations Unit, seeks an experienced, talented, and highly-motivated individual to serve as the Employee Relations Coordinator within the Administration line of service. Employee Relations is responsible for administering employee programs, coordinating tasks and standards and evaluations for all non-managerial employees, and developing new program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, and courses of action to enhance quality of work life and retain current talent. The Employee Relations Coordinator will work closely with the Manager of Employee Relations to ensure that all operational goals and procedures are identified and met.

Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and conducting new hire orientations
- Manage and track performance management
- Promote and coordinate wellness and engagement events
- Monitor offboarding process for separating employees
- Providing DCAS employees with information pertaining to health benefits/coverage, insurance, payroll, union coverage, retirement, deferred compensation and agency rules and regulations
- Preparing job vacancy notices, recruitment ads.
- Data entry for various types of transactions into NYCAPS and generating various HR reports
- Performing specific research on HR operational issues as requested and provide advice, assistance and follow up

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
