POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist will report to the Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and will work closely with other Human Resources (HR) colleagues. The HR Generalist will act as a leader on the HR team and provide Manager, HRBP with support by managing the HR operations of their group. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the employee lifecycle processes of recruitment, onboarding, engagement strategy execution, learning and development, and offboarding. This position also requires communication and maintenance of employee status changes, updates to employee records, maintenance of electronic personnel files within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ability to report on employee data and analytics, and other general administrative duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Leads HR Coordinator in ESRT corporate onboarding processes to ensure seamless, efficient, and engaging new hire onboarding process
- Conducts 30- and 60-Day Check-Ins, in partnership with Manager, HRBP or HR Coordinator, to promote new hire engagement during onboarding period; ensures 90-day reviews are completed timely by managers and new hires
- Ensures compliance with federal regulations related to the process of worker’s authorization through I-9 management and E-Verify
- Leads HR Coordinator in ESRT corporate offboarding process to ensure a seamless and efficient transition for former employees which includes but is not limited to processing termination related paperwork, coordinating system deactivation, revoking property access, and processing office space clean up
- Owns and manages Human Resources Information System (HRIS), which includes but is not limited to employee personnel files, data oversight, organizational chart, and internal shared drive
- Audits transactions, updates, and changes within HRIS data and files
- Conducts research and produces compensation analyses for various positions to support recruitment engagement
- Produces, correlates, analyzes and distributes various HR reports as needed, with ability to present on data
- Owns employee appreciation and engagement programs leveraging HR Coordinator; plan and execute monthly employee events and adapt based off employee feedback
- Strategizes, implements, and coordinates ESRT’s volunteer programs; maintains ESRT’s Volunteer Time-Off Day procedures, tracks employee volunteer hours and reports, coordinates volunteer events
- Manages ESRT’s Internship Program which includes strategy, implementation, recruitment, program coordination, program development, and other duties
- Owns implementation of key processes including annual and mid-year performance reviews, goal setting, 360 feedback reviews, engagement and pulse surveys, new hire and offboarding surveys, and supports 9-box grid process
- Partners with Manager, HRBP to implement, execute, and drive forward initiatives and projects to include succession planning, talent assessment, performance management, training, and compliance
- Produces presentations related to various engagement, pulse, new hire, and offboarding surveys for department leaders on a quarterly and yearly basis
- Oversees the administration of our learning and development programs to deliver and track training courses
- Designs and delivers training programs that enhance employees' skills and knowledge and enhance established training and development paths
- Champions our project management software, Monday.com, to ensure internal HR processes adhere to established deadlines and standard operating procedures
- Maintains and contributes to the open-door culture of the HR team; acts as a liaison and representative of the HR team to entire employee population; acts as a culture carrier of ESRT
- Maintains confidentiality and integrity related to all HR and employee functions
- Partners with Manager, HRBP to support in the management of employee relations issues which may include investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Escalates process issues to Manager, HRBP and provides recommendations for improvement
- Assists and provides support to Manager, HRBP in daily tasks

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a corporate Human Resources environment; minimum 1 year experience as HR Generalist
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
- SHRM-CP credential desirable
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

$90,000 - $110,000 a year
Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, job location, size of property where applicable, and/or certifications. In addition to your base salary, ESRT provides discretionary annual bonuses.
