We are on the lookout for a dynamic and results-oriented Pricing Director to take our pricing and packaging strategy to the next level and drive business growth here at Civica.

In this pivotal role, you will partner with senior leaders across our verticals, including Executive leaders, Sales leaders, and their teams, to develop innovative pricing and packaging solutions. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring the successful execution of these strategies while working closely with cross-functional teams such as Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, M&A, Finance, Marketing, and Business Improvement to deliver impactful results.

As Pricing Director, you’ll oversee the full spectrum of pricing and packaging responsibilities. This includes setting optimal pricing structures, leading price optimisation efforts with a strong focus on competitive positioning and designing packaging and propositions for cross-selling within and across our verticals. You’ll be particularly focused on navigating complex scenarios where pricing models, metrics, and contracting approaches differ between products within the same markets.

You’ll also drive M&A integration, capturing pricing synergies, and play a crucial role in implementing deal desk capabilities for larger opportunities. This may include supporting customer negotiations alongside sales teams to ensure success. In addition, you’ll lead the transition from Excel-based pricing tools to a SaaS-based CPQ system, improving efficiency and scalability for the business.

Another key responsibility will be designing and delivering pricing training and enablement programs to ensure the teams have the necessary skills to execute on your strategies. You will also oversee governance, target setting, and performance monitoring to ensure alignment with business objectives. As part of your leadership role, you’ll be responsible for developing and leading a high-performing team, driving continuous improvement in pricing and packaging execution across Civica.

This position calls for a strategic thinker with strong commercial insight, analytical expertise, and a proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, where your leadership and expertise will shape the future of pricing strategy at Civica.

What you will need to be successful in this role

  • Experience in Pricing strategy and execution together with proposition & packaging strategy expertise, ideally in a software context 
  • Exceptional strategic thinking skills and problem-solving ability 
  • Experience of partnering with and influencing Executive Leadership to drive business acceleration 
  • Strong analytical ability, interest in drawing insights from data. Enjoys analysis and a data-led approach to pricing 
  • Strategy or Management consulting experience from a top tier strategy consulting firm is a plus (in particular to drive the change management agenda)
  • Experience of working with Private Equity backed businesses is desirable
  • Connector of dots and a collaborator who can work across all teams and functions 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Self-starter with a hands-on, can-do attitude 
  • Driven, enthusiastic professional who can work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience leading a team
