Project Manager - New Product Development

This role will be the glue that holds our teams together for all new innovation projects, reformulations, tech transfers, and packaging updates. This role will report to the Senior Director of Product Development. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, thrives in dynamic collaborative environments, and doesn’t back down from a challenge. This is a remote position.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing briefs for NPD launches + working directly with the PD team on both formula and packaging development.
  • Manage timelines and lead crossfunctional status meetings to review progress against timelines for NPD launches, reformulations, tech transfers, line extensions, and packaging updates.
  • Coordinate activities across Product Development, Operations, Marketing, Creative, Regulatory, Digital, Sales, and Finance team members to create and execute necessary timelines and activities.
  • Clearly document and monitor all timeline milestones across teams, set due dates/make revisions as needed, and follow up to ensure tasks are met or contingencies developed.
  • Develop, implement, and manage stage gate framework process for new innovation projects + communicate project status updates, actions and risks to the executive team.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and push for decisions in order to execute on-time and within quality expectations.
  • Serve as point of contact in between project meetings to drive communication and action as needed to support project execution.
  • Prioritize tasks, adjust workflow and partner with crossfunctional stakeholders as needed to move projects forward.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for time savings, creating and refining best practices and processes for successful project execution.
  • Partner with Creative PM, Operations, and Regulatory to develop and maintain a smooth review and artwork handoff process.
  • 5-7 years of project management experience in cosmetic and personal care products (including OTC) 
  • Proficiency in Wrike; Airtable experience also preferred but not required
  • Proactive, creative approach to problem solving
  • Is a team player and approaches cross functional projects with a collaborative attitude
  • Is comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment while keeping follow-through and deliverables on time
