Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Billing Clerk/Patient Account Representative for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Professional Receivables.

Key Responsibilities

• Status patient accounts for nonpayment and initiate follow-up actions
• Monitor and analyze insurance reimbursement levels and recommend corrective actions
• Review claim forms for accuracy and maintain productivity and quality assurance

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of Medical Insurance reimbursement policies and procedures
• 1-2 years of office experience, including at least six months in a hospital or physician business office
• Proficiency in computers and software, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to type 40-60 wpm with accuracy
