The Opportunity
Reporting to the Supervisor, HR and Data Operations, the HR department is looking to hire a Workforce Coordinator to be responsible for processing all transactional activities associated with employee life cycle changes.
The Role - Responsible for applying and processing all employee lifecycle changes including new hires and terminations
- Validate information aligns with internal processes and position management rules
- Review and enter all new hire paperwork, setting up deduction codes and banking information
- Work with HR Advising Team to ensure all Instructor Work Assignments are accurate and processed into the system
- Collaborate with Payroll Specialists to ensure changes are processed accurately and are aligned to collective agreements
- Collaborate with entire Human Resources department to investigate requests when needed and find a solution
- Responsible for maintaining and managing all employee electronic files
- Determine opportunities for process and system improvements
- Participate in projects to support the Employee Services team
- Collaborate with HR Systems team to support on any upgrades or process testing that is required
- Prepare, verify, and process semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- Analyze and validate payroll data for new hires, terminations, and transfers.
- Maintain accurate timesheets and ensure timely payments in compliance with deadlines.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues and enhance processes.
- Assist in payroll audits and maintain payroll documentation and records.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager, HR Operations
Qualifications- Education & Experience
- Post-secondary diploma or degree, with preference given to human resources, business administration or a related field
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in an employee lifecycle or payroll role
- Experience working in a unionized environment is a definite asset
- Experience with continuous improvement or other project management initiatives is strongly preferred
- Certification or Designations
- PCP certification preferred but not required

Hours Per week: 37.5 hours
Salary Range: $62,500.00 - $67,500.00
Paid Leave: 4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year
