Job Summary

A company is looking for a Surgery Scheduler for Surgical Oncology and GI Tumor and Endocrine Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between patients and physicians for non-clinical issues
• Coordinate calendars and logistics for assigned physicians and schedule surgical procedures
• Verify documentation and lab results are available prior to surgery and manage patient referrals

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting
• Bachelor's degree and/or EPIC experience is highly preferred
• Expertise with MS Office Suite applications
• Broad knowledge of medical practice front office operations and medical terminology
• Familiarity with insurance plans, ICD-10/CPT coding, and prior authorization requirements is a plus
