Job Summary

A company is looking for a Supervisor, Appeals Pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of appeal pharmacists and technicians, overseeing administrative prior authorization functions
  • Support training and onboarding of staff, and investigate escalated issues from clients and providers
  • Perform clinical pharmacy functions, including prior authorization reviews and managing compliance risks
Required Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited program
  • Active unrestrictive pharmacist license
  • 2 years of clinical pharmacist experience in a Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) setting
  • 1+ year of experience with Commercial and/or Medicare appeals
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit management processes
