Smiths Interconnect is a leading provider of technically differentiated electronic components, subsystems, microwave and radio frequency products that ensure high speed, secure connectivity of critical applications in the defence, aerospace, communications and industrial markets. Our microwave technology is used in radar, communication and surveillance systems that are mission-critical and operate in extreme environments in aerospace and defence. Our microwave components and connectors ensure optimal performance, durability and safety of space satellites. Our semi-conductor test products are used to test highly sophisticated semi-conductors and electronic circuits in communication systems, gaming products and computing devices. Our in-flight antenna systems give passengers internet connectivity gate-to-gate on planes around the world. Job Description

At Smiths Interconnect we have an opening of a new sales function for Poland and Germany. This role requires a high-performing Sales Account Manager to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. Your responsibilities include maximising our sales potential, creating strategic sales plans and delivering those to plans to senior management.

The role is to be home-based in Poland, with regular travel abroad.

Responsibilities: 

  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing opportunities for Smiths Interconnect FOCOM products
  • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure a strong presence within the Space, Defence & Aerospace markets
  • Supporting the development of capability & product strategies by working with Engineering and Product Management stakeholders
  • Successfully managing stakeholders within the selling process to support aggressive growth and sales targets
  • Create, present and execute a credible Sales Forecast
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and developing partnering opportunities
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

Qualifications

  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales account manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Understanding of Space, Defence and/or Aerospace procurement
  • Demonstrable English, Polish and German language skills (written and oral)
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from conception to completion.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Understanding of RF products and their application preferred
