Sign.com is an exciting new venture from Smallpdf, a Zurich-based grown-up that bootstrapped its way into one of the most popular PDF tools in the world and most visited websites globally with a team of over >100 people from 34 nationalities in offices in Zurich, Belgrade, and Barcelona.

We launched Sign.com as a startup because we believe the world is ready for a better e-signing solution, ensuring small business owners are able to protect their growing businesses by giving them the tools to track and manage their contracts.

Objective of the role

As a co-founder for Sign.com, your primary objective is to pioneer all necessary initiatives to establish a viable business in a competitive market. You will be the leader of the business, hence the role demands a blend of strong product mindset, creativity, strategic insight, and relentless drive to conceptualize, test, and implement effective market entry strategies.

Responsibilities

Strategic Product Development:

  • Guide the team to develop and refine a compelling base product that resonates with target customers, surpassing competing solutions.

  • Strategize product positioning and differentiation.

  • Implement Product-Led Growth (PLG) initiatives to foster virality and expand the user base.

  • Utilize data insights to drive continuous growth and enhance user retention.

  • Innovate monetization strategies while prioritizing user acquisition and growth.

Strategic Distribution:

  • Collaborate with the Growth Lead to devise innovative and cost-effective growth strategies, potentially exploring partnerships and sales channels.

  • Manage budgets and maintain a keen focus on unit economics to ensure sustainable growth.

Team Leadership:

  • Motivate and guide the team to achieve peak performance.

  • Foster a collaborative environment

  • Empower team members with the necessary tools and resources to make informed decisions.

  • Recruit and retain top-tier talent to drive the company's mission forward.

  • Maintain alignment with the Smallpdf team and leadership.

Strategic Planning:

  • Address critical strategic questions and make informed decisions regarding testing, scaling, partnerships, funding, and customer relationships.

  • Ensure strategic initiatives are executed at the optimal juncture for maximum impact.

This role is a hybrid position and will require you to be onsite in Zurich on a regular basis.

What you bring

  • Minimum 5 years of overall work experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in Product / commercial management within the SaaS industry.

  • Experience with launching products in a product-led growth setup as (co)-founder.

  • B2B (SME) and/or B2C (big userbase) experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership or management.

  • Proven track record of driving growth and success in challenging market environments.
