Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Benefits Counselor/Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Key Responsibilities

• Provides expert knowledge and guidance on Social Security benefits programs
• Serves as the authoritative source for benefits policy interpretation and procedural guidance
• Reviews training content for accuracy and collaborates with instructional designers

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Social Security benefits administration or counseling
• Comprehensive knowledge of SSDI, SSI, Medicare, Medicaid, and related federal benefit programs
• Experience with federal benefits determination processes and appeals procedures
• Certification in benefits counseling (CWIC, Benefits Counseling Certification, or equivalent)
• Security clearance eligibility and experience with confidential beneficiary information
