Field Manager

Ruppert is a commercial landscape maintenance and construction company combined as a privately and employee-owned specialty contractor. Responsibilities 
  • Train and mentor crewmembers for on-the-job training. 
  • Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts.
  • Familiar with budgeted hours for each of your jobs. Monitor by reviewing job hours, reports, and job costs effectively.
  • Foster relationships with onsite customers
  • Driving quality and efficiency
  • Proactive approach to identifying issues in the field with communication to customer
  • Promote extra work through time and material work orders  
  • Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment following company’s guidelines and policies
Qualifications 
  • Ability to manage internal team members with proper training on equipment
  • Experience working with customers and building relationships
  • Minimum one year experience performing commercial contract maintenance
  • Ability to identify and diagnose, and treat plant palate diseases  
  • Working knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in contract maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record over the last three years.

Descripción del puesto
El gerente de campo es responsable de administrar la mano de obra y el material en el campo para completar los proyectos de mantenimiento y remoción de nieve asignados por contrato. Además, los gerentes de campo deben entrenar a las personas bajo su supervisión. El éxito en este puesto está indicado por trabajos en los que se renuevan los contratos, los trabajos se completan en las horas presupuestadas y hay una tasa de rotación baja de asistentes y ayudantes. Este puesto debe cooperar con otros gerentes de campo de mantenimiento y gerentes de campo de mejora para asegurarse de que se cumplan los objetivos generales de la sucursal.

Responsabilidades

  • Desarrollar una comprensión clara de las filosofías por las que opera la empresa, los objetivos a corto y largo plazo de la sucursal y la posición financiera de la sucursal. 
  • Conocer a su gente en un esfuerzo por ayudarlos a crecer dentro de la empresa. Establecer metas con ellos y monitorear su progreso a través de evaluaciones formales e informales.
  • Formar parte activa de nuestro proceso de capacitación asistiendo o realizando sesiones de capacitación de certificación de manera regular. 
  • Planificar, programar y supervisar las actividades diarias de producción en los contratos asignados.
  • Desarrollar una comprensión clara de los presupuestos por horas y costos para cada uno de sus trabajos. Supervise las horas de trabajo, los informes y los costos de trabajo con regularidad y tomar las medidas necesarias. Comunicar el presupuesto de horas a los asistentes y ayudantes.
  • Desarrollar una buena relación con el cliente en cada trabajo.
  • Monitorear la calidad de trabajo al inspeccionar el trabajo al final de cada día, completar los informes de servicio de la propiedad, y ser proactivo en comunicar problemas al cliente.
  • Vender un nivel aceptable de extras mediante el uso de los boletos de T&M.
  • Mantener el vehículo y el equipo asignado en buen estado de funcionamiento. 

Calificaciones

  • Capacidad y habilidad demostrada de gestionar a otros en diferentes niveles. 
  • Capacidad y habilidad demostrada de trabajar con clientes. 
  • Al menos un año de experiencia realizando trabajos de mantenimiento comerciales por contrato. 
  • Un título de dos o cuatro años en horticultura o relacionado y dos años de experiencia en la industria. Experiencia o certificaciones en la industria adicional pueden substituir el requisito de un título. 
  • Habilidad para identificar y diagnosticar problemas de enfermedades e insectos y programar tratamiento adecuado. 
  • Conocimiento práctico de vehículos y equipos utilizados en contratos de mantenimiento y remoción de nieve. 
  • Licencia de conducir vigente con antecedentes limpios de los últimos tres años.
