About the position
The Payroll Specialist Level I is responsible for processing payroll and related data on a weekly and biweekly basis. This role involves close collaboration with Human Resources to ensure accurate payroll analysis and processing, including handling various payroll-related tasks and assisting employees with payroll inquiries.
Responsibilities
• Process payroll and related data on a weekly and biweekly basis.

• Check payroll information for accuracy.
,
• Coordinate with HR regarding changes in payroll such as terminations and new hires.
,
• Process financial compensations or deductions including bonuses and severance pay.
,
• Assist employees with general payroll questions and educate them on company-specific payroll policies.
,
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
,
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with UKG payroll systems.
,
• Familiarity with payroll processes and relevant legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act or FLSA.
,
• Working knowledge of Ultipro/UKG payroll and WFM timekeeping system.
,
• Analytical mind with good math skills.
,
• Strong communication skills.
,
• Excellent attention to detail.
,
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
,
• Healthcare experience preferred.
,
• Associate’s Degree.
