Billing Specialist - WA & OR

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing/Follow-up Specialist - Commercial Billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve insurance claim rejections, denials, and non-payment of claims
• Identify trends in billing and follow-up to expedite resolution of insurance accounts
• Maintain daily account follow-up work lists and ensure compliance with payer contracts

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing or insurance account follow-up
• Medical terminology experience and knowledge of insurance processes required
• Formal training or coursework in medical billing from an accredited school preferred
• Preferred credentials include Medical Billing Certificate or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative
