Japanese Legal Translator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Japanese to/from English - Legal Translator, Editor, and/or Transcriber.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate, edit, and transcribe legal documents and audio files from Japanese to English and vice versa
• Edit audio transcriptions and legal documents while ensuring the use of appropriate legal terminology
• Review and certify the quality of other translators' work as needed

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizen willing to undergo a government background check for Public Trust Clearance Moderate Level
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience in legal documentation translation and/or editing
• At least 3 years of experience in audio transcription using relevant software
• Familiarity with legal terminology in both English and Japanese
