About Polygon Labs

Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the AggLayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the AggLayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.

Your Role

As the Institutional Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with financial institutions, venture capitalists, institutional investors, and others in the traditional financial world.
Reporting into the Global Head of Business Development, you will coordinate with various internal teams, including Business Development, Finance, Marketing and DeFi, to attract liquidity and support the growth of the ecosystem.

This role will require up to 20% travel for investor meetings, conferences, offsites and roadshows. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the executive team to craft and deliver compelling narratives about protocol growth while keeping institutions, liquidity providers and others informed about the latest developments in Polygons tech stack. Knowledge of tokenomics and its application in blockchain projects would be a valuable asset in this role.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, venture capitalists, financial institutions and other key stakeholders across Web3 and traditional finance.

  • Utilize your network to enhance relationships with key financial players in the Web3 space and traditional financial markets.

  • Develop and implement investor relations strategies to communicate network performance, protocol roadmap, strategy, and market opportunities.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Business Development, Finance, Marketing and DeFi, to drive liquidity and support growth initiatives.

  • Prepare and distribute press releases, newsletters and presentations as part of our corporate updates.

  • Organize and manage institutional meetings , and conferences to enhance relationships and showcase progress across the ecosystem.

  • Keep the investment community informed about the company’s progress, market trends in the Web3 space, and key developments in blockchain technology.

  • Ensure compliance with and coordinate with legal on all laws, rules, regulations and requirements particularly within the United States and various countries throughout the Middle East and APAC.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, DevRel, Product and Business Operations, to gather insights and data for sales collateral and related materials.

  • Address investor inquiries and provide timely responses to requests for financial data and corporate updates.

  • Leverage your understanding of tokenomics to help communicate the value proposition of Polygon network.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in investor relations, financial communications, or related fields.

  • Established network of venture capitalists, institutional investors, and financial institutions, particularly within the Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency space.

  • Proven ability to attract new capital through strong investor relationships.

  • Strong knowledge and passion for the Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency space.

  • Experience coordinating with internal teams, especially Business Development, Finance, Marketing and DeFi teams, to attract liquidity is highly preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for investor-related activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.

  • Understanding of tokenomics and how it applies to blockchain projects.

  • Familiarity with financial modeling, company valuation, and performance analysis.

  • Working knowledge of the Polygon competitive landscape, particularly L1s, L2s, interoperability providers, and various scaling solutions throughout the blockchain space.
