Content Marketing at OMG

As a Senior Content Marketing Manager, you help tell our story to the world through engaging, high-quality content that drives brand awareness and positions OMG as a thought leader in the branded merchandise industry. You like to do research, can think like a media company, and work with urgency. 

The Senior Content Marketing Manager helps develop and drive the company’s content strategy, creating compelling content that tells our story and differentiates us from competing solutions. You’ll work hand-in-hand with key stakeholders and executives, ensuring our content sets the benchmark for what good looks like and provides real value to the market. You know which channels work, the type of content that performs best for each channel, and can articulate a unique point of view in a variety of mediums. This isn’t guesswork. You back up the strategy with proof and are open to experimenting to find new ways to reach our audience and drive results. You prioritize quality over quantity, and have the data to prove what’s working and what isn’t.

Day in the Life

  • Develop a thoughtful multi-channel, distribution-first content strategy that supports Marketing initiatives and drives towards company goals
  • Conceptualize and create well researched, high-quality content for the company website, email marketing, and other communication efforts, including but not limited to: client success stories, press releases, articles for industry publications, blog posts, social media posts, eBooks, webinars, landing pages, etc.
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Product Marketing, Marketing, and other Revenue teams to identify, prioritize, and execute on content needs based on campaign plans and business needs
  • Synthesize and transform messaging and expertise from Product Marketing, first- and third-party research, and company strategy into accurate and compelling content tailored to different personas and segments 
  • Repurpose and distribute content across marketing channels in relevant formats 
  • Develop a deep understanding of our brand guidelines, company strategy, positioning, and messaging 
  • Work with subject matter experts from across the organization to gather source material and insights, as well as conduct independent research to inform content 
  • Review and edit materials created by other Marketing team members and departments to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines 
  • Maintain a calendar of award submissions and write strong, compelling applications with support from internal stakeholders 
  • Analyze content performance and use insights to refine content strategy

Must Haves

  • A minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in content marketing for B2B Software-as-a-Service offerings, ideally in eCommerce
  • Proven experience in developing and executing a content strategy from ideation through production - must be able to flex from strategy to execution 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – clear and consistent writer with an eye for editing and adhering to brand tone, voice, and messaging guidelines
  • Experience creating effective, well researched, high-quality content in multiple mediums (e.g., emails, blog posts, eBooks, press releases, social media posts, videos, ad copy, etc.) based on our strategy, positioning and messaging framework, interviews with internal subject matter experts and clients, and marketing goals. Must have a portfolio of samples
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, lead generation, social media marketing, and content marketing strategies
  • Self-directed and comfortable working cross-functionally with OMG’ers at every level, providing and receiving constructive feedback
  • Strong research orientation
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, work with urgency without sacrificing quality, and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable presenting projects and insights at larger meetings
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required
