North Carolina Medicaid Support Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medicaid Support Specialist to assist consumers and family caregivers in navigating Medicaid and Waiver enrollment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with state Medicaid agency professionals and case managers to facilitate Medicaid and Waiver applications
• Review applications to ensure eligibility for Careforth programs and provide alternative resources for ineligible families
• Collaborate with enrollment teams and caregivers to assist families in obtaining appropriate coverage

Required Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor's degree in health care or related discipline or equivalent work experience
• 4-6 years of experience in health care with 2+ years in Medicaid and government programs
• Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with diverse groups
• Strong technical skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems and programs
• Bi-lingual skills preferred
