The team:

The Partnerships team works with businesses from industry-leading companies to freelancers to bring new users to Jobber or build product experiences for our mutual users. We are responsible for establishing and managing strategic relationships with our largest partners as well as managing smaller program partners. 

Reporting to the Director, Channel Partnerships, we are looking for a Sr. Manager, Partner Success who will be responsible for everything that happens post contract execution to ensure our partners have the best Jobber experience possible. This is a player and coach leadership position where you will focus on the ongoing strategy, engagement, and continued growth of our highest value partners. Other key responsibilities will include long-term planning, managing any license re-up purchases/renewals, run quarterly business reviews, be our strongest Jobber Payments advocate and be the main point of contact to all our tier 1 (highest priority) partners to drive growth and retention. 

You will collaborate with sales & success, marketing, product and engineering teams to ensure our partners are getting the best possible experience and opportunity to grow with Jobber. In addition to that, you will be responsible for setting the strategy and framework for the Partnership Account Management function. You will lead a team of highly motivated account managers looking to you to ensure they are providing a best-in-class experience for our partners.

This position will require travel to conferences and partner sites. This role also requires a highly goal-oriented individual with experience managing and growing product partnerships. 

The role:

Drive the strategy and execution for Channel Partners Partner Success - create standard process for partner management, handling day-to-day partner management, setting clear objectives and actionable go-to-market strategies to achieve goals

  • Work alongside our Business Development Director, Partnerships to strategically align on customer goals, areas of training focus and SP success measurements
  • Accelerate partner expansion opportunities through compelling joint-business plans that include additional market/geographies, upsell and cross-sell opportunities 
  • Working with our CSM's to create and implement custom onboarding plans based on each client's org structure (for both admins & key stakeholders) 
  • Monitor key product activity metrics and proactively reach out to at-risk clients
  • Perform reviews with teams across the Sales department to discuss expansion & referrals opportunities, customer pain-points and areas of opportunities to help address customer needs
  • Nurture key relationships with our Tier 1 ecosystem and ensure Jobber is meeting the needs of all partners
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews for organizations showcasing how valuable Jobber has been and drive overall optimization
  • Acts as an advocate for partners by communicating their feedback to Jobber
  • Relay and train partners on any new feature releases
  • Actively promote and push forward the implementation of Jobber Payments across all applicable partners
  • Quickly build expertise in the Jobber product offering

Understand market, industry and competitive trends to identify new partnership opportunities

  • Lead a team of Account Managers ensuring they are supporting their roster of partners in the most effective ways
  • Build strong relationships with partner teams to influence them to prioritize Jobber GTM efforts, working towards shared goals that yield mutual benefits 

Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to align and execute partnership initiatives with Jobber’s business objectives (development work, enablement materials, co-marketing, co-sell motions, etc)

To be successful, you will need:

  • 10+ years experience in a partnership/business development/account management role
  • Minimum 5 years in people management
  • To be dynamic. Both partner and Success-minded, having the ability to develop strong relationships with external partners – after the close of the new deal, you are the Jobber go-to person for everything!
  • To be strategic. You understand what’s at stake, both in the long & short-terms and build a strategy and tactical plan to help you get to where we need to be.
  • To be results oriented. You are most comfortable in work environments which are outcome-oriented and merit-based.
  • To find solutions. If something isn’t going right, you’ll take care of it. Not every conversation will be the same, and you're quick at thinking on your feet.
  • To have a strong and confident communication style. You have the ability to actively listen and consult with our partners, and get a true understanding of who they are and what they need (especially when they don’t know what they want!). 
  • To thrive in a fast-paced environment. You know how to multitask with the best of them and can balance multiple projects at once.
  • Enjoys rolling up their sleeves in a fast paced startup environment and getting things done
  • Is able to work cross-functionally with many teams and multi-task with a sense of urgency
  • Has impeccable attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate challenges creatively and efficiently 
  • Willing to regularly travel to conferences and partner on-sites
