Job Description

Primary Function of Position

This position will report to the Sr. Manager Environmental Management Systems and the main responsibilities will include helping Intuitive’s Environmental Management System with implementation, delivery and execution of programs; partnership tools and development of operational process, and reports for use by the broader functional teams. This role is intended to further develop Intuitive’s Environmental and Sustainability competencies and compliance to mandatory and applicable requirements by partnering cross-functionally with internal partners (e.g. Product Engineering, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, EHS, Facilities).

Essential Job Duties

  • Partners with ISI sites in the harmonization of primary EMS processes
  • Help internal and external ISO 14001 audits and will report relevant information on periodic basis to the Corporate EMS Manager.
  • Investigation of environmental incidents and near-miss incidents and the initialization of the Non-Conformance process
  • Work closely with local & global process owners and business partners to ensure ISO 14001 requirements are duly met while, assessing, documenting and addressing all relevant changes with impact to the EMS.
  • Providing local & global help on environmental internal and external audits and inspections.
  • Read and acknowledge legislation to identify defined requirements and help the creation of business process to address these regulations

University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
  • Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.

Required Education and Training

  • Current enrollment in an Environmental Management or related degree-seeking program at the Master’s level. Bachelor’s level students would also be considered based on specific relevant experience.

  • Self-motivated and resourceful
  • Excellent data skills, organizational skills, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Data management, database creation, or data and information modeling
  • Experience examining compliance data to verify accuracy.
