Director, Payments Products

As the Director of Payments Products, you will lead the envisioning, development, and execution of our payments strategy and product roadmap, ensuring a seamless, secure, and innovative experience for our customers across all of our global expense and invoice platforms. You will own our payments strategy end-to-end, driving alignment across platforms to deliver on a unified vision that makes reimbursements simple and easy, supports all payment types, and spans all expense platforms. Your focus will also extend to simplifying B2B payments across all types and maximizing monetization opportunities from platform volume. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, marketing, and operations, and requires a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding product experiences and profitable business outcomes for Emburse.


What You'll Do:
  • Develop and own a strategic product roadmap for payments, balancing immediate deliverables with long-term objectives and aligning all platforms toward a unified payments vision.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of new features, updates, and improvements.
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements based on market research, customer feedback, and business needs, with an emphasis on maximizing revenue-generating opportunities across platform volume.
  • Establish best practices in product management processes, including agile methodologies, KPIs, and product metrics.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, compliance, and risk teams, to ensure payment products are secure, compliant, scalable, and strategically aligned.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to drive product adoption, address customer needs, and maximize monetization.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external payment providers, networks, and other strategic partners.


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.5+ years of experience in B2B payments or Fintech.
  • Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including credit card processing, digital wallets, ACH, B2B payment platforms, and emerging payment technologies (e.g., cryptocurrency, cross-border payments).
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling payment products across multiple markets, integrating solutions seamlessly across platforms to deliver cohesive, revenue-driving experiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in an agile development environment and using product management tools like Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
