ToroAire (*Ambient) is an HVAC manufacturers’ representative with over 40 years in business and representing over 40 product lines.  We have an immediate opening for a Bid Desk Associate at our Orange, CA office. The Bid Desk Associate is a product expert who prices and develops proposals for HVAC equipment. They have a keen eye for detail and are naturally curious! This is an opportunity to be on a team that provides great support and professional development, as well as camaraderie and trust. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Process requests for bids from outside sales representatives.
•    Analyze takeoffs, specifications and construction plans.
•    Obtain pricing from manufacturers and vendors as needed.
•    Coordinate with sales engineers and other departments as needed.
•    Using expert product knowledge, produce detailed pricing for multiple product lines using various pricing methods. 
•    Develop detailed and thorough bid proposals.
•    Managing and maintaining project information in CRM program.
•    Managing and maintaining project files and documents in project folders.
•    Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

•    Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
•    Excellent verbal and basic math skills
•    Highly detailed-oriented
•    Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy
•    Excellent time management and organizational skills
•    Enjoys serving internal and external customers
•    Ability to thrive working independently or as part of a team
•    Desire to take the initiative to advance team goals and support other team members

Preferred Qualifications 
•    Reading and analyzing construction plans and specifications is a plus.
•    Experience in the HVAC industry a plus.

Compensation:

$60k-$70k DOE
