Vermeer Sales-Recycling & Forestry

Are you ready to join a great team and make an immediate impact at Vermeer All Roads? Our Ashland, VA location is searching for a Forestry & Recycling Sales Rep. The ideal candidate will have previous experience/contacts, a go-getter mentality and a track record of success in selling to municipalities, industrial and like companies. Candidate will follow-up on internally and externally sourced leads, develop a customer network, coordinate product demonstrations, and maintain customer information notes with periodic reviews. This full time benefits eligible position offers a base salary plus commission, company vehicle, fuel card, laptop and cell phone.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, plan and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results/goals.
  • Track and manage sales opportunities across the assigned area - from initial inquiry through to order close.
  • Identify customer’s needs and react appropriately while understanding the market conditions and local competitors pricing.
  • Develop a networking list of potential clients and consistently contact them through in-person calls, phone, text and email.
  • Territory management – assure proper coverage of all customers and industries within assigned geographic area and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Key account management – be responsible for all customers in the territory. Be adept in dealing with Company owners, managers and field personnel.
  • Product Demonstrations – develop, schedule, conduct equipment demonstrations with customers
  • CRM – input and maintain customer accounts, opportunities and activities in Salesforce.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and remotely
  • Other duties as needed
