Territory Sales Rep-Vermeer

Vermeer All Roads is searching for a Full-Line Sales Representative to cover Rochester, and Buffalo New York territory. This role involves selling Core/Compact and Underground Equipment (mini skids, chippers, trenchers, and boring machines) and conducting “tow and show” demonstrations at customer job sites. The representative will also be responsible for developing new business within the designated territory. This is not a desk or catalog sales job; it requires fieldwork and customer interaction. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, be able to obtain a DOT medical card, and maintain an excellent driving record. A company truck, fuel card, laptop, and cell phone are provided. This is a full-time position with benefits, offering a base salary plus commission.

The position’s objective is to successfully grow sales, manage account activity, prospect for new business, quote, track and follow up on opportunities.   

  • Facilitate the sales process from prospecting to the closing of the sale
  • Ability to load, transport and operate our compact equipment line
  • Demonstrate & sell our full compact line (brush chippers, stump cutters, mini skid steers and multiple attachments)
  • Identify customer’s needs and react appropriately while understanding the market conditions and local competitors pricing. Track in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Territory management – assure proper coverage of all customers and industries within assigned geographic area. 
  • Key account management – be responsible for all customers in the territory. Be adept in dealing with company owners, managers and field personnel.
  • Provide exceptional customer service before and after the sale
  • Ability to effectively work independently and remotely
  • Travel to customer sites on a daily basis
