Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make calls to patients, hospitals, and insurance companies to research claims and obtain information
• Contact insurance carriers regarding past due accounts, denials, and appeals
• Document account activities and follow up on unpaid claims and self-pay accounts

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of claims, billing, and collection experience
• Customer service experience required
• Prior collections or medical billing experience preferred
• Basic understanding of ICD10, HCPCS, and medical terminology preferred
