About The Job:
We are currently seeking an Assistant Account Executive to join our dynamic and fun Consumer Technology practice team in our Silicon Valley office. You will collaborate with the team, support in providing sound counsel and recommendations to clients and drive results inclusive of traditional and emerging public relations tactics. You’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of your accounts in the consumer technology space – their business, products, markets, and industry influencers; and will convey this knowledge credibly to members of your account team and to the media, driving media relations results.
We are looking for someone who is interested in working with consumer technology companies that span smart health, laptops/monitors, gaming, digital storage, among others. You will succeed at Zeno if you are fearless, resourceful, tenacious, have an understanding of traditional and non-traditional PR tactics and the media landscape, and drive great results for clients while building great relationships with your clients and your team.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain media coverage lists and trackers.
- Collaborate with team members to create strategy, implement plans, and execute PR campaigns, initiatives, & events.
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of social media tools.
- Prepare client status & activity reports, compile media & competitor coverage, & coordinate pitching.
- Research, outline, write, edit, & proofread materials, including media advisories, pitch letters/e-mails, biographies, reports, & fact sheets.
- Support the Zeno new business pitch process as needed.
Qualifications- Collaborate with team members to create strategy, implement plans, and execute PR campaigns, initiatives, & events is something that excites you.
- Detail oriented.
- Driven to consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal communication, strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent writing skills, experience crafting pitches, releases, contributed articles.
- Exceptional at project management.
- Experience working with Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must have earned a bachelor's degree.
- Must have previous internship experience.
- Understand channels of communication across social media and how it can support business communication efforts.
$40,000 - $51,000 a year
Pay Range: $40,000 - $51,000
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
