Product Manager - Data and Developer Experiences

Overview

We are looking to hire a Product Manager who will define, build, and own the next generation of data and developer experiences (DDE) for Wherobots. Geospatial data has been special and challenging to work with, and these factors limit its utility. This person will define and own the experiences that break these norms and unleash the potential of this data. Scope is available for individuals with Senior, Staff, and Senior Staff product management experience.

Wherobots is backed by experienced venture firms – Felicis, Wing Venture Capital and Clear Ventures. Our growth will be product led, where the capabilities and user documentation enables a fully self-service experience across different customer profiles. We have usage and high interest across different industries and use cases, including well known banking, map making, and insurance organizations. Wherobots supports a hybrid working environment, where teams gather in the San Francisco and Bellevue offices 2-3x per week.

Opportunity

The value of data is highest when people and machines are productive with it. As a product manager overseeing DDE, you’ll manage and integrate two product experiences that are core to creating value from spatial data – the Spatial Catalog and the developer experiences for Wherobots. The Spatial Catalog will become a productivity hub for Wherobots customers, where they can easily discover, share, and govern their assets ranging from datasets to notebooks to computer vision models. And common developers will be able to easily deploy, utilize, and create these assets in a notebook. You will work closely with data scientists, developers, and analysts to optimize critical user journeys. You will evaluate and raise pivotal investment decisions, prescribe product requirements, and lead go-to-market execution. You’ll report into the Head of Product, but partner closely with multiple Wherobots internal functions, particularly engineering, marketing, and leadership. Because the DDE experiences create important advantages for Wherobots, you will play a critical role in the success of Wherobots as a company.

Our mission is to make it easy for our customers to utilize geospatial data. And in pursuit of this mission, botsters will make a difference to business, science, societies, and Earth. If this mission, team, and this role excites you, we would love to hear from you. Apply now!

About Wherobots

Wherobots was founded by the original creators of Apache Sedona to build the first fully-managed, highly scalable spatial cloud and analytics platform. Spatial, location-enabled, and satellite imagery data is quickly becoming a critical and valuable source for insights in a broad array of industries, from logistics and insurance to financial or climate tech companies.

Everything in a multi-dimensional space has a spatial element to it. Yet building intelligence of how assets or features of interest perform or change across space and time, was hard. It's hard because data, and traditional big-data engines and cloud products are not optimized for spatial analytics. Solving problems like “where should I place a [thing] to minimize [waste/costs] and optimize profits”, or “what logistical changes can we make to minimize our carbon footprint” were once difficult and costly problems to solve. Wherobots, the Spatial Intelligence Cloud, makes spatial problems easy to solve, at petabyte scale. The planet, and our customers will benefit from Wherobots' role in democratizing spatial intelligence.
