Job Description

Targeted Annual Pay Range: Minimum of $75,000.00 to a maximum of $80,000.00

POSITION PURPOSE: The Associate Data Center Project Commissioning Engineer - Electrical is responsible for project development engineering activities, from first site visit through signature of contract with client.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for project development engineering activities, from first site visit through signature of contract with Client, including:

  • Site surveys and data collection on existing Client sites.
  • Benchmarking of current site energy and operating costs.
  • Analysis of opportunities for technical and operational improvements.
  • Development of conceptual design.
  • Costing of capital projects with and without external contractors.
  • Costing of operation and maintenance components.
  • Technical / cost modeling.
  • Preparation of Technical Sections of Client proposals.
  • Support Business Development with Client presentations. 
  • Develop and manage external technical relationships with consultants, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, etc.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferably with a concentration in power systems.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • 1 - 3 years' experience in the technical development of small to large energy projects
  • Background in electrical distribution systems and conceptualize and evaluate improvement projects, data center commissioning infrastructure
  • Experience of working across various sectors. Ability to bring innovative energy services solutions

Required Certification / Licenses / Training

  • Distributed Generation Certified professional (DGCP).
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM). 
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
