Policy Associate

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is the premier grassroots organization focused on advocating solutions to the country’s greatest challenges. The Policy Analyst will be responsible for the analysis and management of our policy work to advance the vision of Americans for Prosperity and its brand,The LIBRE Initiative.


In this role, you will work in collaboration with the AFP Policy team and the LIBRE Initiative Policy Director to inform our policy engagement opportunities with the Hispanic community and across our state chapters.


This role will be based in Arlington, VA.


How You Will Contribute
  • Review and analyze federal and state legislation in the following issue portfolios for Libre teams: Economic issues, health care, and immigration with an emphasis on education policy. 
  • Produce policy analysis and research material for internal and external audiences.
  • Translate complex issues into written text for communications and grassroots teams.  
  • Collaborate with grassroots and government affairs teams to build and support effective strategies to advance legislative and regulatory policy priorities.  
  • Work across the broader policy team to identify innovative real-world policy opportunities to advance our community’s vision.  
  • Assist in the development and production of the annual policy agenda for The LIBRE Initiative and supporting policy materials.
