About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Scientific Project Manager to join our dynamic team. You'll report directly to the Senior Clinical Research Scientist and play a key role in our R&D efforts, advancing novel research candidates. Join us as we work to revolutionize the treatment of metabolic disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate, plan and execute research projects across the organization while coordinating cross-functional resources.
Use project management tools to plan, monitor, and report on project budgets and timelines.
Set and track project milestones. Guide third-party organizations (CROs, CDMOs, contractors) to achieve shared goals.
Identify and resolve project challenges by analyzing available information and collaborating with technical leads.
Foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success.
Track deadlines for abstracts, manuscripts, presentations, and materials for external meetings related to Skye's research and clinical programs.
Oversee external vendor contracting and invoicing.
Work with cross-functional teams—including R&D Collaborators, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and CMC—to execute preclinical milestones and clinical biomarker programs on schedule.
Qualifications
Experience with project management, particularly in research settings.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
MS degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific field (e.g., immunology, pharmacology, biochemistry, metabolism, or related fields) with 2+ years' research experience.
Strong ability to communicate scientific data effectively across teams and in presentations.
Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and academic partners at all levels.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with metabolic or immunology research is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Project, Smartsheet, MS Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
