Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Counsel Director to support its in-house HR, Litigation, and Compliance legal team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide legal support for employment law and litigation matters
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders on pre-litigation and litigation-related matters
  • Develop and review company employment policies, contracts, and deliver legal updates to HR and business leaders
Required Qualifications
  • J.D. and excellent academic credentials, with membership in at least one provincial bar
  • 6+ years of experience in Canadian HR and employment law from a law firm and/or in-house
  • Dispute resolution and litigation experience
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex issues across various business groups
  • Expertise in evaluating and interpreting legal issues with high organization and efficiency
