Head of Total Rewards

As the leader of our Total Rewards program, the proverbial buck will stop with you. You will own the evaluation, continuous improvement, and implementation of our compensation, payroll, mobility, and benefits programming globally. What you'll do

  • Translate our compensation and benefits philosophy into a tactical execution plan for employees with a focus on our annual equity refresh program and salary reviews
  • Partner with Finance to forecast and lead multi-year financial models including annual merit, promotion, and equity budgets
  • Build our total rewards employee value proposition; driving employee communications to inform various reward values across offerings (cash, equity, benefits, perks, etc.) to attract, retain, and engage fellow Geeks 
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of compensation and benefits experts
  • Collaborate and consult with HR Business Partners and Recruiting on offers, promotions, transfers, and develop policies and guidelines 
  • Forecast and propose a long-term compensation and equity strategy roadmap that is competitive in the marketplace while keeping in mind the equity pool
  • Iterate upon our current compensation model while working with our executive team – particularly our CFO and CEO – and board to build a truly innovative total rewards and equity program
  • Develop the annual calendar of core activities and lead the preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee

What you have

  • 10+ years working in tech company total rewards (compensation and benefits) or management consulting 
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Proven ability to innovate in the rewards space and develop success metrics
  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Sheets/Excel wizardry - vlookups, index matches, etc. with a penchant for data visualization 
  • A love of numbers and data, with an open-minded approach to problem solving
  • Comfort working in an agile work environment; you’re quick on your feet
  • Assertion when required; you’re able to challenge and be challenged both internally and with clients in a constructive and respectful way
  • Strong problem solving skills; you’re able to quickly digest a problem and evaluate solutions and then empower others to deliver
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and promote a calm and considered approach
  • A desire to consistently improve efficiency and quality of delivery
  • Excellent time management skills and written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this role is $193,000 - $283,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
