Senior Settlement Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Settlement Accountant, responsible for managing monetary exceptions and settling funds with financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve monetary exceptions across Network, Card, and Account activities
• Ensure accurate balancing and reconciliation of daily settlement transactions to minimize financial risk
• Train internal and external clients on settlement processes and improve settlement function documentation

Required Qualifications

• 4-year Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent accounting experience
• Advanced knowledge of Settlement Operations or related experience
• Minimum of seven years of network operations experience for internal candidates; ten years for external candidates
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced skills in MS Windows, Word, Excel, and database software applications
