Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intake Coordinator to provide customer service and support in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter referrals into the system accurately and timely, verifying completeness of requests
• Notify clinical staff of requests and hospitalizations that require further review
• Process approval determinations and provide customer service regarding authorization requests and claims

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in the healthcare or health plan environment
• Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and/or Epic
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Previous experience in the medical field or health plan preferred
