Contingency Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Contingency Underwriter to manage complex and high-value assignments while building relationships and identifying new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite, manage, and service a renewal book, producing new business in line with business unit goals
• Analyze and evaluate risk, participating in discussions on risk assessment and providing mentorship to peers
• Build and enhance relationships with brokers and clients, identifying new distribution opportunities

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting, focusing on complex and high-value risks
• Strong technical expertise in risk analysis and evaluation
• Proficiency in Carrier Rating Portals and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong business development skills to identify and drive new opportunities
• Ability to work independently with self-directed judgment
