Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pharmacy Medical Pre-Authorization Coordinator for a contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records to ensure proper documentation for pharmacy prescriptions
• Manage the EMR work queue for pharmacy prescription authorization requests
• Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding authorization status

Required Qualifications

• Two (2) to four (4) years of experience with pharmacy prescriptions requiring pre-authorization
• Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute
• Experience in a healthcare or related setting preferred
• Knowledge of medications
• Pharmacy authorization experience is highly preferred
