Key Responsibilities

• Educate patients about payment options and financial assistance
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for financial assistance programs
• Document payment information and ensure accounts are ready for billing

Required Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of related experience
• General knowledge of HIPAA and medical insurance regulations
• Working knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPC/CPT coding
• Proficient in computer software, such as MS Word and Excel
• Basic math and accounting skills
