Practice Manager - Midtown Clinics - Registered Nurse

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Practice Manager for our Midtown Clinic! 

The Practice Manager of Midtown at Nashville General Hospital is responsible for, evaluation of clinical operations as well as identifying and mitigating risks associated with strategic deployment. This role will lead budget planning and Performance Improvement activities across the Midtown Services Division. Reporting to the Director of Ambulatory Services, the incumbent will work closely with other members of the Clinical Leadership team performing operational support services.

As a Practice Manager, you will: 
  • Plans, organizes, and manages the operations and activities of one or more health clinics or health programs, ensuring a strategy for future grown in alignment with NGH’s vision, mission, and strategic plan; provides financial and management expertise to ensure that all patients receive high quality, affordable and efficient care; responsible for the day-to-day activities related to access, efficiency, productivity, service experience, scheduling, billing, provider communication and quality.
  • Monitor revenues and expenditures; assists in maintaining budgetary control and meet budgeted productivity targets; develops data collection systems and prepares regular statistical and progress reports.
  • Makes regular rounds to clinics to evaluate status of patient care, operation and environment of the clinics and staff needs; evaluates progress of assigned areas and plans, implements, and evaluates programs to meet current and anticipated needs. 
  • Develops schedule, staff’s hours, and patient flow for the center while executing corporate policies and procedures. 
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies for encouraging staff to maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior. When necessary, facilitate resolution of problems and issues in a team-centered atmosphere.
  • Facilitate site meetings, in-service meetings, attend and participate in management meetings, community partner meetings, and marketing activities as required.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications:  
  • Master’s Public Health or Master’s Healthcare Management or relevant degree strongly preferred with at least two years clinic experience or Bachelor’s degree and 4 years experience.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of three years experience in a clinic setting, previous PCMH/PCSP and experience with electronic medical records a plus.
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee Required
  • BLS and ACLS Required
  • Previous management experience in a clinic preferred.
