Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to assess borrower financials and credit information to guide lending decisions.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and decision agency conforming and jumbo residential mortgage loans
• Verify and analyze financial information and documentation to ensure loan files are complete
• Review appraisal reports and conduct thorough analysis of applicant's financial data to confirm loan eligibility

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent experience underwriting FNMA and FHLMC mortgages
• Expert knowledge of Desktop Underwriter (DU) & Loan Prospector/Loan Product Advisor (LP/LPA)
• Ability to manage a pipeline of 200+ loans in a high-pressure environment
• Experience with loan calculations (DTI, LTV, etc.) and managing multiple loan files simultaneously
• HELOC & Non-Conforming experience is a plus
