How You Will Make an Impact?

The Corporate Technical Training Supervisor who is passionate about building skills and capabilities within our team across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a dynamic, results-driven individual with proven experience in technical training, team management, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing technical training programs that support our employees' growth and the overall success of our organization. You'll lead training initiatives both remotely and in-person, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across our 14 sites.

The Nuts and Bolts

Training Program Development:
  • Design, develop, and implement technical training programs specific to manufacturing processes, equipment operation, safety standards, and quality control.
  • Adapt training materials for both in-person and remote delivery methods to engage team members and support a variety of learning needs.

Leadership Duties
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of technical trainers and facilitators, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members both remotely and in-person, maintaining clear lines of communication and accountability across sites.

Training Delivery
  • Conduct technical training sessions, including but not limited to, machine operation, quality control protocols, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Use data and feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements to ensure consistent application of best practices across all locations.
  • Work with content creators and SMEs to develop technical training curriculum covering specific topics including workstation best practices, safety, procedures and product training

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure all training programs adhere to industry regulations, OSHA standards, quality certifications (e.g., ISO), and company policies.
  • Regularly review and update training materials to reflect advancements in manufacturing technology, safety standards, and quality procedures.

Reporting and Analysis:
  • Track and report on key metrics, including training completion rates, competency development, and training program overviews, offering insights for continuous improvement.
  • Manage the training budget and resources efficiently, optimizing support across the 14 sites.

Required Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Engineering, Industrial Management, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, equivalent experience, or a combination of the two.

Experience:
  • 5+ years in a technical training role within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
  • 5+ years of Morgan Truck Body Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Multi-site coordination or leadership experience greatly desired.

Skills
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and experience with training technologies and tools for remote learning.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to motivate employees and foster a strong safety and quality culture.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with MS Office required; proficiency in Excel ; demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping preferred.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and explain technical documents.

Travel :
  • Frequent >50%

  • This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms .
