Metron is looking for a Military Analyst to serve as the Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Coordinator representing Metron at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, Indiana. The Crane RAVEN lab is an organization providing long range kill chain (LRKC) and data link experimentation with joint organizations, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence. The Military Analyst will participate in LVC exercise development and execution, advising RAVEN leadership on exercise objectives, tactical scenarios, and tactical data link architectures.
The selected individual will plan, coordinate, and advise RAVEN lab leadership to ensure they are fully informed in kill chain, data link, and platform software testing and LVC experimentation opportunities, and ensure RAVEN leadership priorities are followed. The Military Analyst must possess a demonstrated ability to operate under shifting priorities, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and deliver under pressure.
This position is located in the NSWC Crane RAVEN lab and may require on-call SME support to a 24x7 military and civilian operations team. The selected individual must also be effective in briefing both NSWC Crane senior leadership and visiting senior leaders as requested by RAVEN leadership.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Perform systems engineering to include research and development, to recommend the integration, installation, and training for sustainment and enhancement of existing data link architecture and network design to support emerging capabilities, advanced programs missions, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) (traditional and nontraditional) integration.
- Research, identify and coordinate RAVEN lab networking, computing and software improvements that may be needed to ensure Joint interoperability for this summer 2024 advanced LVC experimentation among a minimum of six joint sites.
- Refine and codify Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to support sensor to shooter operations for multiple geographic regions around the world.
- Identify the datalink architecture and network design parameters needed to connect various operational units within the Joint Data Network (JDN).
- Provide datalink hardware/software management and maintenance.
- Interact with maintenance personnel to troubleshoot deficiencies and coordinate a resolution.
- Support system administration to configure, update and manage all servers and systems with configuration control updates for all applications supported with government authorization for LVC experimentation.
- Provide system administration; operation, configuration management and provide training on installed Data Link Hosts to include Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI), National Tactical Data Manager (NTDM), Link Monitoring and Management Tool (LMMT), peripheral systems, and associated cryptographic equipment.
- Represent NSWC Crane RAVEN lab at the joint and combined interoperability working groups and planning conferences.
- Maintain a RAVEN Lab LVC Schedule of coordination meetings, planning conferences, and supported experimentation events.
Required Qualifications and Certifications
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Joint Interface Control Officer Certification
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; the selected candidate will undergo a background check for TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly
- Completed JT 301/310 course
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- At least 5 years of data link experience or equivalent intelligence analysis experience
- Knowledge of the following data link systems: Link 16, Link 22, JREAP A/C, CEC and MADL
- Knowledge of spectrum deconfliction, messages standards, and platform capabilities and limitations
- Familiarity with fleet battle rhythm and military exercise planning to meet the increasing demand for Tactical Edge Targeting (TET) unique services
- Familiarity with National Tactical Data Manager (NTDM), Multi-Source Correlation System (MSCS) Multi-TDL Display System (MTDS), Joint Range Extension (JRE), Multi-Source Correlator Tracker (MSCT) and cross domain solutions, associated data networks, hardware and software
