Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Specialist to manage patient records and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, prioritize, and process incoming and outgoing records requests while ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Interface with patients and external partners to provide records and maintain client satisfaction
• Process patient documents for Release of Information (ROI) and respond to audit requests in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience in medical records with knowledge of medical terminologies and records management
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM coding standards and HIPAA compliance
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and document management software
• Associate's degree or certification in Health Information Management (HIM) preferred
