Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Coordinator to manage client medical records and support legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Request, collect, organize, and maintain client medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Track outstanding medical record requests and follow-up with providers through fulfillment
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and medical providers to obtain necessary medical documentation
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in health information management or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in medical records management, preferably in a legal or healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices
  • Proven and signed discretion and integrity when handling confidential financial and client data, HIPAA, etc
  • Background in legal services and familiarity with legal terminology and practices is a plus
