Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Billing Specialist (REMOTE).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate Veterans Administration claim payments for compliance with state fee schedules
• Research and acquire medical records to support hospital claims for prompt reimbursement
• Conduct follow-ups with payers to ensure claims have been received and facilitate reimbursement

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2-4+ years of experience in healthcare billing or collections
• 2+ years of client-facing/customer service experience
• 1+ years of experience with VA billing and collections required
• Intermediate understanding of insurance claims processing and government veteran benefit programs
