Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist for our Wichita, KS office.

The AR Specialist is a detail-oriented and organized professional responsible for managing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to support efficient accounts receivable operations and uphold positive client relationships. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the AR Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the company’s financial stability and success.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

Processes deposits daily.
Responsible for daily data entry.
Processes and distributes outgoing customer invoices via mail or email.
Records all customer invoices to the general ledger.
Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Verifies account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales personnel and customers.
Resolves collections by examination, investigation, and communication.
Responsible for verification of specific Accounts Receivable billings.
Responsible for various period end reporting and auditing tasks.
Will be cross trained within other areas of the accounting department.
Assists with filtering and delegating incoming calls.

Position Requirements

2-years work experience in accounts receivable role.
Knowledge of general accounting principles preferred.
10 Key by Touch required.
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving.
Able to proactively address potential issues or errors.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Collaborative working style and team-player attitude.
Able to work independently with little supervision.
Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to team’s success.
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment.
Valid driver's license preferred.

Hourly rate is commensurate with position, education, and experience.
