Staff Accountant

We’re seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team, where you’ll play a crucial role in managing and optimizing financial processes. Collaborating closely with the Controller and Accounting Manager, you’ll focus on key areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales commission calculations, royalties, payroll, and month-end close activities.

What you’ll be doing:

Accounts Management & Month-End Close:

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, general ledger entries, and other financial reports.

  • Oversee accounts payable processes using tools such as Bill.com and Abacus.

  • Perform credit card and bank reconciliations.

  • Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts as part of month-end close activities.

  • Assist in accounts receivable collections.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting frameworks, policies, and regulations.

  • Assist with audits and regulatory examinations as required.

  • Analyze and ensure the accuracy of sales reports.Evaluate, classify, and organize sales data to support decision-making.

  • Calculate commissions based on transaction analysis.Partner with the sales team to manage deal structures and resolve commission-related inquiries.

  • Calculate and process royalty payments 

  • Process semi-monthly payroll with precision and timeliness.

  • Continuously seek process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in a B2B SaaS or technology environment.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.

  • Experience with accounting software such as Bill.com, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, salesforce or similar platforms.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
