The successful candidate for the Scientist 1 position will join the Profiling and Screening team to provide support cross-functional support for our high value commercial research services using DiscoverX PathHunter platform and other proprietary technologies. Key responsibilities include performing cell-based assays to support drug discovery.

  • SOP driven cell based assay for sample (compounds) testing based on customer request, and data analysis.
  • Troubleshooting and validation of cell based assays for profiling and screening projects.
  • Perform work with accuracy managing quality with quantity.
  • Generation of reference data for assay qualification and marketing purposes
  • Generation of miniSOP’s, SOP and ability to multitask.
  • Assisting with inventory management.
  • Instrument protocol optimization and validation.
  • Daily laboratory notebook entry.
  • Daily database documentation entry.
  • Participation in and presentation at group laboratory meetings.
  • Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required
  • Adjusts work hours as needed to meet client deadlines
  • Adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Adjusts work hours as needed to meet client deadlines
  • Adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors in cell biology or biochemistry plus 2 - 5 years’ relevant experience or Masters with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with cell-based assays
  • 1 year of experience working in a commercially focused lab environment
  • Authorization to work in the US for any employer, indefinitely, without sponsorship
  • For all Eurofins Discovery Services Businesses in US; Successful applicants will be required to confirm positive COVID-19 vaccination status or demonstrate eligibility for medical or religious exemptions prior to commencing employment

This position pays within the range of $70,000-$78,000/year, as commensurate with experience and education.
