Report Engineer (Power BI)

SpartanNash is looking for a skilled and motivated Report Engineer to join their IT Applications team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and reporting, with a particular focus on using Power BI as the main development tool. As a Report Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and insightful reports and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting needs.

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency by performing data validation and quality checks.

• Optimize and enhance existing Power BI reports for better performance and usability.

• Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use Power BI reports.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data extraction and transformation.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and Snowflake.

• Experience supporting a retail environment
