About the Team

On the Merchant Strategy & Operations team, our mission is to have best-in-class restaurant selection for Consumers and build products and services for our Merchants to grow their businesses profitably on DoorDash. We work on problems ranging from acquiring and onboarding new merchants to building a positive experience and solving pain points for existing merchants, to growing their sales through new products and services.

About the Role

As an Associate Manager on DoorDash’s Merchant Strategy & Operations (S&O) team, you will drive impact by improving Merchant retention on the platform and improving their experience across several pain points. You will solve problems by digging into details, executing quickly in the face of ambiguity, and building strong cross-functional collaboration. In this role, you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution that shape the success of Merchants on our platform and the direction of DoorDash’s core business, with a focus on existing Merchant success, retention, and solving high pain and high-impact problems.

On the Merchant team, you’ll get to the lowest level of detail by speaking to Merchants, partnering with our Support, Sales, and Product teams, and analyzing our data to develop hypotheses for new ways to achieve your goals. You’ll test these hypotheses in the market and refine your approach to develop best-in-world solutions. And, you’ll also make sure to capture the Merchant voice in everything we do.

  • Integrations Onboarding:
    • The Integration Onboarding streamlines the integration of DoorDash with POS Systems and aggregators. We’re looking for a creative problem solver to join our team to drive the vision for seamless, scalable integration onboarding for our Merchants. You’ll work closely with our Top POS Partners, Product, Operations, Marketing, Business Development, and our internal Integration Account Managers to root cause top issues, identify improvement areas, and build/scale solutions.

You will report to our Senior Manager of Merchant Strategy & Operations in this role.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Bring your ideas to life with a broad team including Product, Analytics, Operations, Sales, B2B Marketing, and Support
  • Operate at the lowest level of detail to understand the impact of your decisions and iterate given insights from data
  • Create step-change improvement for our merchants through regular engagement and operating at the lowest level of detail to identify their needs

We're excited about you because…

  • You have 3+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, banking, technology, or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience and experience leading a team are a plus
  • You're analytical and dig deep to understand a problem, using both quantitative and qualitative data; SQL experience is a strong plus
  • You have an ownership mentality and are excited to think about problems using first principles, inspiring action to create the future
  • You lead from the front and inspire followership across levels and functions
  • You communicate early and often and can distill complex topics into a summary for stakeholders at all levels -- both written and verbal
  • You can build a plan to hit your goals and consistently operate with focus and drive
